The New York State attorney general's office is zeroing in on 102 physicians statewide - including some from Long Island school districts - who may have been improperly reported as public employees, officials announced yesterday.
Investigators have found "red flags" in the employment records of some doctors because they appear to be on public payrolls while also working as independent contractors and maintaining full-time private practices, spokesman John Milgrim said.
